Charity awareness video for Headway West Sussex
Our client required a charity video that they could display on their website, that not only raised awareness of Acquired Brain Injuries, but also the work that they themselves do to help those affected by ABI.
The brief led us first of all to explaining what can cause an acquired brain injury, and how common they can be. We then focused on two individuals who had suffered brain injuries, as well as a gentleman who looks after his wife, also a sufferer of ABI. This allowed us to give an insight into the affects that brain injuries can have on the individuals themselves, and also the people around them.
Our client really wanted to show how helpful the social groups and events that they hold are to sufferers and their families. The individuals initially described how isolated they felt by their brain injury, and how it had prevented them from doing things they once loved. The carer told us how his life had changed since his wife had suffered, and the shifts it had caused in the dynamic of his family. They all then went on to say the social events held by Headway West Sussex had enabled them to talk to others going through the same thing, as well as giving them an outing to look forward to. In short, it had given them the support they needed to enjoy life again.
Our charity awareness video sensitively encompasses the seriousness of ABI, how it affects the sufferer and their families, and how Headway West Sussex supports all of these people for as long as they need.
